[NEWS] DBSK is disbanding?? it's only rumours!!

Curiosity rose as the group’s schedule to film for ‘2009 Summer SMTown’ jacket on 25th June was called off. This had made fans even more curious why so especially with rumours about the group disbanding coming up recently.

With that SM Entertainment cleared in a phone interview on 26th, “This is just rumours. Like the past, such rumours came up and there were all groundless. This time this is the same thing.” emphasising that rumours about the group disbanding back in year 2004 and 2006 were all groundless.

The representative said, “Dong Bang Shin Ki had left Korea on 26th June for their performance in Thailand.”

Meanwhile, Dong Bang Shin Ki recently started on their Japanese tour concert in May. And coming 4th and 5th July they will be having a large-scale concert performance in Tokyo Dome.

Best Male group TVXQ traveled to Saipan for their storybook “Please Be Mine” which will be simultaneously released this coming 15th July in Japan and Korea.

SM Entertainment together with SBSi, visited Saipan this January for the TVXQ DVD series “All About TVXQ Season 3″ where the members went to see beautiful landscapes.

There is the emerald sea Saipan Beach (Ladder Beach) where the members are enjoying a game of TVXQ Mini-olympics, then the story unfolds to a quiet and secluded scene. The members stayed there for 6 nights and 7 days.

It includes a total of 300 pages including the interviews, the content consists of the rich, colorful charms of TVXQ and Saipan. Seems good enough to eat.

Super Junior Lee Teuk has been chosen as the best leader for idol group.

A survey ‘Idol group leader who has shown the most leadership’ on community site DCInside from 16th till 23rd June and Super Junior Lee Teuk came in #1 with 15,724 votes out of 45,928 votes (34.2%).

#2 goes to TaeYeon of So Nyeo Shi Dae with 10.171 votes (22.1%). The group’s popularity and support can be shown especially with their comeback ahead.

#3 goes to Dong Bang Shin Ki YunHo with 9,850 votes (21.4%), followed by SS501 Kim Hyun Joong, SHINee Onew, and 2PM JaeBum.

Super Junior KiBum has been known to have injured his legs and will not be participating for Super Junior’s concert opening in July.

It was known that KiBum has fell down while exercising on 13th June and had to receive treatment for 6 weeks. His injured left leg will also have to be in a cast.

The physician who tended to KiBum’s injuries, “It is not advisable for him to take part in the powerful dancesteps for the concert, he should be careful with is injury and advisable not to participate in the concert.”

KiBum said, “I’m so sorry to be off trouble. Even though it is a shame that I cannot take part in the concert, I’m sure the other members will present great performances in my stead. Please do look forward to Super Junior’s concert.”

Super Junior’s 2nd concert ‘The 2nd ASIA TOUR ‘SUPER SHOW Ⅱ’ will be held from 17th till 19th June in Seoul.

[NEWS] 2009 Dream Concert

The BIG South Korean event will be held on Saturday, October 10th.

Every year since 1996, this big Korean event has been held, it is a large scale Korean concert at which tens of thousands of young people are wild with enthusiasm. Already this year, performances by TVXQ, Big Bang, Super Junior, and Wonder Girls have been decided, and a hot interest in currently being collected. [Note: 2PM was also added to the line-up after this article was written.]

The will take place at the Seoul Sang-am World Cup Stadium, and this year for the first time, Asia Zone has established the idea of not only just the K-Pop fans from inside Korea attending, but tourists from overseas will also be able to share in the enjoyment.

BIG artists will unfold for over 3 hours at this wonderful performance, 40,000 Asian K-Pop fans will become wildly excited on this 1 day. Furthermore, the viewing participation at “2009 DREAM CONCERT Official Japan HP” has been open to the public, a special favor is also being prepared.

More details have been revealed for Super Junior's 2nd Asia Tour Super Show II which will kick off in Seoul on 17th July, in addition to the earlier announcement.

Apart from seeing Super Junior perform their new songs from their 3rd album plus a host of other exciting performances, fans will also be given an exclusive viewing of their new dance song for the Summer, Carnival and was written by Super Junior member, Kangin.

Fans were undoubtedly excited at this announcement as it was Kangin's first composition and has not been revealed in public yet. Kangin himself has expressed that the song describes feelings of being on vacation, amidst the bright blue skies and sunny beaches. He hops that fans will find some relief from the song in this hot summer.

Tickets will go on sale in batches from today until Thursday, (16 - 18th June) at 8PM (KST) via G-Market. Super Junior will also be bringing their 2nd Asia Tour Super Show II to Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei, etc after their 3 shows in Korea.

[NEWS] Oppa Band Have Been Confirmed

MBC has been continuously trying to think up new ideas ever since program after program flopped on their Sunday Sunday Night line-up with We Got Married barely surviving, but will their new show "Oppa Band" win over the viewers? The "band members" have been confirmed with Kim Gu Ra as the producer, Shin Dong Yup on the bass, Tak Jae Hoon on the drums, Yoo Young Suk on the keyboard, Park Hyun Bin as the main vocalist, Trax's Kim Jung Mo as the 1st guitarist, and Super Junior's Sungmin as the 2nd guitarist. Although you guys might be wondering what Shin Dong Yup and Tak Jae Hoon are doing in the group, they do have some experience playing their respective instruments through bands that they had been in... 20 years ago.

The show will consist of them learning from a rather scary music teacher and all of them will then have to move forward together to create a rock band. The first episode will air on the 21st and I just might be tuning in. I can't wait to see Gu Ra and the music teacher yell at the band members for not being able to follow directions.

Super Junior Kangin has been voted as the one who has the most “loose tongue” in Super Junior.

On the show KBS2TV “Ji SeokJin & Choi WonJung’s Yeoyoomanman” which will be aired on June 10th, MC Ji SeokJin has asked Kangin why he has been chosen as the most “loose tongue” member on an entertainment program which EunHyk said “Kangin is like Super Junior’s entertainment relay show”

Therefore, Kangin has pointed to Leeteuk and said “Leeteuk hyung knows better (than me) when it comes to rumours in showbiz” and “There is no one who is taciturn among Super Junior members” which made everybody burst out laughing.

Today, although I came to Shanghai for only 1 short day, but seeing you all makes me really very happy! Today there were a lot of people who went to the airport as well as the actual venue, but everyone was orderly, and I am really proud of you all, everyone did really well, thank you all, everyone has worked hard. （Every time during an event, everyone must take care of their safety!）
Also, I saw some of the videos of everyone doing charity work together, I have been thoroughly moved by you all, thank you everyone for doing this for me. Previously I said I’d do charity work with everyone, but up till now I haven’t fulfilled my promise, I am really very sorry, but I guarantee I will realize my promise, to do even more charity work with everyone, to help those people who need our help, hope that everyone will carry on, let love’s wings accompany them forever. [NEWS] Super Junior's 20th Golden Melody Awards

Before bringing their The 2nd Asia Tour Super Show II to Taipei, fans of Super Junior will be delighted to know that their idols has been confirmed for the 20th Golden Melody Awards on 27th June. This will be Super Junior's 2nd time at the awards ceremony, having previously attended the 18th edition in 2007. It will however still be only 12 instead of 13 members of Super Junior who will be attending. Kim Heechul missed the 2007 trip because of filming commitments and this time, Kim Kibum will be the one missing because of his acting preparations.

Super Junior was undoubtedly honored to be invited again, especially since it's a significant milestone for the Golden Melody Awards which is into it's 20th year of running. They will be performing their new songs, It's You and Sorry, Sorry for the first time outside of Korea and handing out awards as well.

Pretty boy, Kim Heechul was pretty excited about his first trip to Taiwan, as his fellow Super Junior members and DBSK seniors have kept feeding him with information about how delicious the Taiwan delicacies were like Xiaolongbao and pearl milk tea. Heechul said, "I am definitely going to try out all kinds of Taiwan delicacies!" Other members who will be coming for the 2nd time have expressed their desire to challenge the legend of the spicy hot pot. They also hope to meet Patty Hou again, who had interviewed them twice last time. Eun Hyuk especially, refers Patty Hou as an angel.

Fans of TVXQ / DBSK's Jaejoong might want to look away... A teaser of his upcoming new drama for "Heaven's Postman" has been uploaded to the internet and it features him kissing a girl... OH NO! Many fangirls are saying that they now know how the poor guy in the Doushite MV feels after watching it.

DBSK Jaejoong plays Shin Jae Joon (Japanese character's name is Yu), an IT worker who gets into an accident and ends up in a vegetative state, becoming a messenger for the present and the afterworld. While traveling back and forth, delivering letters to the departed, he meets Jo Ha Na, played by Han Hyo Joo (Saki), as she is trying to send her boyfriend a letter. Super Junior will be having their 2nd Asia tour coming July.

The title to the concert tour will be ‘Super Junior The 2nd ASIA TOUR ‘SUPER SHOW Ⅱ’, and it will start from Seoul moving on to Beijing, ShangHai, Bangkok, Taipei etc to 7 cities performing on 10 concert performances.

The performance in Seoul will be on 17th – 19th July in the Seoul Olympics Stadium. They will be performing songs from their 3rd album.

The ticket sales for the Seoul performnace will open from 16th till 18th June in different windows.

[INFO] Super Junior kick 2NE1 and become the 1st

Group Super Junior’s ‘It’s you’ had taken 2NE1 off their 2 weeks consecutive #1 position on Mnet to take the #1 place.

Super Junior’s new hit ‘It’s You’ is #1 on Mnet chart for the 4th week of May. And the song is written by E-Tribe who also brought to us hits like So Nyeo Shi Dae’s ‘Gee’ and Lee Hyori’s ‘U-Go-Girl’.

2NE1’s debut hit ‘Fire’ has fallen to #2, but in terms downloads and MV views as compared to ‘It’s You’, it has a higher rank.

Super Junior’s ‘Sorry Sorry’ has also stayed on the chart for 12 weeks, at #8. At #5 for the chart is V.O.S ‘큰일이다’, which is #1 on the download charts for the week. The song is from their comeback album.

Also After School’s ‘Dream Girl’ is at #13 up 87 positions on the chart, and is at #7 on the download chart.

[NEWS] Super Junior is #1 in Kpop album sales

Even though the meaning to album sales has began to take a smaller part to the releasing a new album, but in anyway it is still important to a singer in terms of the value of the music and the singer’s success.

So who has the best album sales in the Kpop realm for the 1st half of year 2009? We follow Hanteo chart to find the results tabulated as till 30th May.

And group Super Junior is said to have the highest album sales, with group So Nyeo Shi Dae following behind at #2. We have our Kings and Queens for the 1st half of 2009!

Super Junior had the highest number of album sales for this 1st half of year 2009. They released their 3rd album ‘Sorry Sorry’ in March selling over 100,ooo copies and then they went on to release version C of the album, to breakthrough 200,000 copies sold.

Following behind at #2 is group So Nyeo Shi Dae. They previously released their 1st minialbum ‘Gee’ in January and seeing over 70,000 copies.

The rest of the results:

1.Super Junior with 200,000 copies sold of ‘Sorry Sorry’

2.So Nyeo Shi Dae with 70,000 copies sold of ‘Gee’

3.Singer Seo Taiji sold 59,000 copies with his 8th album single ‘Seotaiji Atomos Part Secret’.

4.Shin Hye Sung sold a total of 35,000 copies ofhis 3rd album ‘Keep Leaves’

5.Bobby Kim with 34,000 copies sold for his special album.

6.SG Wannabe with 29,000 album sales for 6th album ‘Gift From SG WannaBe’

7.Indie band Jang Gi Ha and the Faces with 29,000 copies sold of their 1st album ‘Living without any special things (별일없이 산다)’

8.Davichi is at #8 with 28,000 copies sold of their minialbum giving hits like ‘8282′ and ‘Get into an accident’

9.Fly To The Sky last 8th album ‘Decennium’ selling 27,000 copies

10.Jo Sung Mo with 23,000 album sales for 7th album ‘Second Half’

With the first half of 2009 ending, and we have the latter half the year – with many new additions to the competition like 2NE1, HyunA’s group 4Minutes and T-ara’s debuts, Big Bang, Se7en, KARA, So Nyeo Shi Dae and SS501’s comebacks – we have just more to look out for.

Popular group TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki placed second on the Oricon Monthly Sales chart for their One Piece OP single, "Share the World / We are!" The sales were tabulated from April 20th - May 17th and TVXQ had a sales of 129,000 during that time period.

TVXQ's 28th Japanese single titled Stand By You is scheduled to be released on July 1st. They will have very stiff competition with this release, Popular JPOP group Arashi will be releasing "Everything" on the same date. Other popular artists such as Flumpool, Gackt, and Mao Denda are also scheduled to release new singles around that time frame. TVXQ most likely won't be placing first like last time, but let's hope their Japanese fans go out and buy the album so they will be place high on the Oricon charts.
